Gorge Map
Protected by Congress in 1986, the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area is well known for its world-class scenery and its array of recreational opportunities - hiking, skiing, fishing, mountain biking, windsurfing, kiteboarding, and kayaking. Stretching 85 miles long and spanding two states, terrain varies widely from west to east. New businesses and families continue to relocate here for the quality of life, scenic and recreation resources, and the richness in history and culture.
